ALBION CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS CROWNED TO BU14 PREMIER, GU14 PREMIER & GU17 PREMIER
Albion SC had 5 teams compete in the championship match on Monday in the Albion Cup Showcase (BU12 Premier (Crowe), GU13 Premier (Chai), GU14 Premier (Chai), BU14 Premier (Gins) ,GU17 Premier (Gins) and many others make it to the semi finals. It was 3 teams that ended up claiming the championship and as the Albion Cup Showcase continues to bring in higher level teams the tournament proves to be a much tougher event to win. Congratulations to the Champions and all the teams within Albion SC.
ALBION SC SET FOR 8th ANNUAL ALBION CUP NATIONAL SHOWCASE
Albion SC will host the 8th Annual Albion Cup Showcase this weekend. With over 300 teams and most coming from outside the San Diego area the tournament will prove to be one of the toughest weekends of competition. In addition over 60 college coaches will be in attendance at the College Showcase component being held at UCSD starting at 7:30am on Saturday Morning. All games at USCD will end with a featured match under the lights.
ALBION BU17 PREMIER SHOWCASING TALENT IN THE V ELITE USA CUP
Albion SC BU17 Premier got invited to attend the USA Cup and play in the V Elite group July 10-13th held in Blaine, Minnesota. This group consisted of the top 8 teams in the age group in the country including teams from Canada, Bermuda, and Norway. The team currently tied 2 games against Bermuda, Texas Lightning, and lost 3-2 to Canada.
CAL SOUTH SELECTS 3 BOYS TO 1994 ODP POOL, 2 BOYS TO THE 1992 ODP POOL & 2 GIRLS TO THE 1992 ODP POOL
The BU14 Premier team has had a total of 6 boys pulled into the ODP Pool over the last 12 months. At the current time 3 boys have been called up to the Cal South ODP Pool for selection to Regional Events. Congratulations to Colin Webb, Andrew Murphy, and Oscar Ortega.
The BU17 Premier has had 2 boys called up to the ODP Pool. Congratulations to Francisco Contreras and Sergio Escobar.
The GU17 Premier recently has had 2 girls called up to the ODP Pool, Congratulations to Devin Marshall and Brianna Chapman.
ALBION SC FREE FRIDAY CLINICS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGES 6-12 YEARS OLD
Albion SC is providing free soccer training clinics for boys and girls ages 6-12 years old every Friday in July and August from 4:30-6:00pm at Robb Field. These clinics are an opportunity for players and parents to get professional soccer instruction from top professional soccer coaches at Albion SC. In addition, parents and players can gain valuable information on Albion SC and competitive soccer.
GU19 PREMIER PLACE TWO MORE PLAYERS AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL

US CLUB INVITES ALBION SC TO COMPETE IN CHAMPIONS CUP
US Club Soccer makes invitations to the top clubs in the country to allow them to compete as a club against other top clubs and has awarded Albion SC with a club invitation.

US NATIONAL TEAM CALLS UP 2 ALBION SC PLAYERS FOR NOVEMBER CAMPS
The US National Team now has 2 Albion SC players in their program. The most recent call up was for the Thanksgiving assembly of all US National Teams in which GU16 Premier, Devin Marshall has been called into the team and BU13 Premier, Oscar Ortega. The club is very proud to have the list of US National Team players continuing to grow and the development of our players taking them to higher and higher levels.
KALLE CALDWELL SIGNS WITH UNIVERISTY OF SAN FRANCISCO
Kalle came aboard the Albion SC program 2 years ago and the program has been behind her ever since preparing her for the college game. We have had a strong belief in her abilities and knew she was Division I material. After providing several opportunities for her to be scouted such as the Disney College Showcase and pursuing the schools she wanted to attend she was offered a very good scholarship to attend USF and play Division I soccer. Kalle has been a standout within the GU19 Premier team for the last 2 seasons and has earned everything she is getting.

BU13 PREMIER PLAYER, OSCAR ORTEGA GETS SELECTED FOR US NATIONAL TEAM POOL AFTER BEING NAMED TO REGION IV TEAM
Albion SC very own Oscar Ortega who has been with the program for 2 full years going on his 3rd season was selected for ODP after playing with Albion SC through the State Cup Semi Finals this last year. After being called into the ODP pool for Cal South he has made all the cuts making the Cal South ODP team which took him to Oregon twice and has now been selected for the Region IV team which puts him in the running for the US National Team. He will now travel to Boston July 28th to play against the other regions in an attempt to make the US National Team. This is now Albion SC’s 3rd National Team player in the last 2 years.
BU16 PREMIER, JEREMIAH BUNTON CALLED INTO THE U17 USA NATIONAL TEAM
Albion SC’s Jeremiah Bunton has been with PSG for over 4 months now and has been identified as a player to be called into the US U17 National Team. Jeremiah has recently played in a game with the US team and recorded a goal and an assist against Canada. In addition, Jeremiah has also been playing with the Regional Team as they have arrived in France and have invited him into training and games with them to get additional exposure and opportunities.
ALBION SC ANNOUNCES FIRST PROFESSIONAL PLAYER SIGNED TO PARIS ST GERMAIN( PSG)
The word is traveling through US Soccer as Albion’s very own, Jeremiah Bunton has been selected to play for PSG ( Paris St. Germain) in France. As one of Albion’s truest products, Jeremiah has pushed himself into the European game after being spotted by professional scouts in France. Jeremiah has been working extremely hard towards this goal and has now proven to all American players the dream of playing in Europe is possible. Jeremiah will spend the next year with PSG and have many opportunities in the months ahead. Jeremiah was a PSL All-Star who was then brought into the Albion SC program at age 8. His focus and determination to become a professional existed at the youngest of ages and the club has supported and provided the training neccessary for him to reach his goals. Stay tuned for updates on his year with PSG and all the exciting things that follow for Jeremiah.
