 Albion Rereational Proudly Presents...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

PSL Recreational program will now become Albion Recreational

San Diego, CA - May 27, 2015 - Peninsula Soccer League is relaunching their program under the name Albion Recreational. The new name brings the consistent branding within the program and will offer a new structure with the goal of becoming the best in-house, non-competitive, developmental soccer league for recreational players as well as offer camps and clinics throughout the year.

“This rebranding and restructuring should provide the platform for our Recreational players to benefit from the structure and professionalism of Albion SC. We are very excited to see how this will help the community and provide a better product to our players and in turn see the players develop and fall in love with the sport.” Noah Gins, Technical Director

"I look forward to offering our recreational players the same model that has proven successful in our Juniors program. The new model allows for us to offer consistent, proven curriculum to help players build confidence and a love of the game at the grass roots level. With the focus on maximizing touches on the ball in training and small sided games on the weekends players are sure to develop over each season and have fun doing so." Dan Raeihle, Albion Juniors and Recreational Director

The structure for Albion Recreational will be as follows:

Fall:
2 1-hour training sessions with an Albion trainer weekly
All age groups playing small sided(5v5) games on Saturdays overseen by an Albion trainer who will referee the game and mentor the players

Spring:
1 1-hour training sessions with an Albion trainer weekly
All age groups playing small sided(5v5) games on Sundays overseen by an Albion trainer who will referee the game and mentor the players

Fall All-star program:
Players will be identified and selected by Albion trainers and volunteer game days coaches. All players will solidify their selection prior to the last game of the season. All-star players will train with an Albion coach and play an in-house all star game and/or an All-star tournament within San Diego county.

Camps:
Offered in spring, summer and winter coinciding with school breaks.

Albion Recreational will help build confidence in the recreational player by maximizing touches on the ball in each session and helping to instill a lifelong love of the game.
