JORGE GARCIA, BOYS MLS NEXT ACADEMY DIRECTOR

Born and raised in New Jersey, Jorge has been calling San Diego home since 2018. Jorge grew up playing club and high school soccer at national powerhouse St. Benedict’s Prep, winning a National Championship in his senior year. He then went on to play college soccer at Rutgers University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance.

Jorge got his start in coaching over 14 years ago at Benfica Soccer Academy in New Jersey. Since then, he has been Assistant Coach of St. Benedict’s Prep, Club Founder and President of First Touch Football Club in NJ; Director of Coaching and Associate Head Coach of the PDL team at Lehigh Valley United in PA. Jorge has obtained his USSF National A license, as well as his Advanced National and Director of Coaching Diplomas from United Soccer Coaches. Jorge has guided players to collegiate and professional ranks, and is eager to do the same here at ALBION SC as the Boys MLS Next Academy Director.

JEN LALOR, GIRLS ACADEMY DIRECTOR


Jen Lalor began playing the game of soccer at the age of 5, and became a starting player at the age of 12 on U-16 and U-19 National Teams. Jen went on to become a Hall of Fame inductee at Santa Clara University after becoming the first player to receive a full soccer scholarship at the university, where she became an NCAA All American player for 4 years. Jen's professional playing career includes playing in Japan, Denmark, and Sweden, as well as playing in the United States first women’s pro league (WUSA) for New York Power and San Diego Spirit, where she was a Bronze medalist in the 1995 Women’s World Cup.

Jen holds a USSF “A” Coaching License, USSF Academy Director Course License (ADC), and Director of Coaching License (DOC). Jen has worked at US Soccer for 6 years as a Technical Advisor, Club Development Manager (CDM), and Youth National Team assistant coach and YNT scout. Jen has led the ALBION SC San Diego 06 GA team to both League and National Championships in the 2021 and 2022 seasons, and the 2013 Women's semi pro team (WPSL) to become National Champions.

Jen is currently the GA Director for ALBION San Diego, where she works hard to create player pathways to help inspire, teach, and develop female players that comes through the program to achieve their dreams on professional, college, and individual levels.
